Elderly Ohio man attacked for having Joe Biden campaign sign

An elderly Ohio man was assaulted for having a Joe Biden campaign sign on his lawn, a report said Tuesday.

The unidentified 84-year-old victim told police that the suspect, 69-year-old Melvin Wallace, confronted him about the campaign sign last week outside his house in the city of Coshocton.

Days later, on Oct. 22, Wallace allegedly returned and attacked the man while he was getting out of his car, the Coshocton Tribune reported.

Police responded and found the man bleeding on the left side of his head and from his hand. He was taken to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Wallace was charged Monday with misdemeanor assault. He’ll appear in court for the first time on Nov. 18.
